St. Paul University Hospital

St. Paul University Hospital, located at the northwest corner of Harry Hines Boulevard and Inwood Road, has long been known in North Texas for superior care and outstanding service provided by a highly trained staff.

It has been certified as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission – its highest level of certification – recognizing UTSW’s capabilities to treat the most complex stroke cases on a round-the-clock basis.

St. Paul University Hospital is one of two hospitals operated by UT Southwestern Medical Center; the other is nearby Zale Lipshy University Hospital.

  • St. Paul University Hospital has 300 beds and is recognized as a leading center for heart, lung, liver, kidney, and bone marrow transplantation.
  • The hospital is known for its comprehensive cardiac care and features a specialized 22-bed heart-failure unit.
  • St. Paul University Hospital houses a Level III neonatal intensive care unit for treatment of infants with serious medical problems.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the St. Paul University Hospital Emergency Room is staffed by board-certified physicians skilled in the treatment of all medical emergencies and is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and treatment facilities.

If you’re experiencing a life-threatening medical problem, call 911 immediately or go directly to our emergency room. The entrance is located off Inwood Road.

For active labors, Labor and Delivery may also be accessed through the emergency room.
