UT Southwestern is recognized as one of the nation’s leaders in the clinical care and research of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Our rheumatology services are now available in the convenient, centrally located Clinical Center at Park Cities, where patients receive world-class specialty care in a neighborhood setting.

Who We Are

Our rheumatology team is dedicated to providing the diagnostic procedures and interventional therapies needed to prevent, cure, improve, and slow or halt the progression of all types of rheumatic conditions. 

Our Services

We are experts in the evaluation and treatment of rheumatic diseases, including:

  • Inflammatory autoimmune rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, vasculitis, and inflammatory myopathy
  • Crystal-induced joint inflammation, such as gout and calcium pyrophosphate disease

 In addition, we offer the following on-site diagnostic and imaging services:

  • Laboratory services
  • Ultrasound
  • X-ray

Meet Our Doctor

Jessica Procter, M.D., Faculty Associate in the Department of Internal Medicine, is a native Texan and an SMU graduate. She received her medical training at UT Southwestern, including a fellowship at Parkland Hospital, and served on the faculty for 3 years. She returns to UT Southwestern following 17 years in private practice. Dr. Procter was named a D Magazine “Best Doctor” for 2003 – 2005. Her primary specialty areas are arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and rheumatology disorders.
