Appointments

If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

The physicians, health professionals, and staff of UT Southwestern Medical Center welcome the opportunity to serve all your health care needs. Here, we work closely together in multidisciplinary teams, in which the patient is an active member. Our goal is to provide the most effective, patient- and family-centered medical care available.

Making appointments at UT Southwestern Medical Center is easy. If you’re ready to make an appointment at a UT Southwestern clinic, here's how.

New Patients

New patients (including UT Southwestern employees and UT System colleagues) can make an initial appointment with a physician by phone or online:

Make an Appointment by Phone

Call the central appointment line at 214-645-8300.

Request an Appointment Online

To request a physician appointment online, complete and submit the appointment request form. An appointment specialist will contact you within one working day to review your medical needs and insurance information and to assist you in scheduling an appointment.

Established Patients

Patients who need to request a repeat appointment with a UT Southwestern physician may call the physician’s office directly or through UT Southwestern’s general information line at 214-648-3111. If you reach our automated system, you can be connected to the person or clinic simply by stating the name.

Established patients also have the opportunity to request an appointment online through MyChart, UT Southwestern’s secure, online health management tool that allows you to make appointments and communicate easily with your physicians and clinics.

New patients are encouraged to request MyChart access at the initial appointment.
