Virtual Care

Video Visit Instructions or 214-648-8888

Virtual Care encompasses all remote interactions UT Southwestern has with patients, providers, and other health professionals. Virtual Care eliminates the need to travel to campus and allows health care to come to you. Video Visits are an important component of Virtual Care delivery at UT Southwestern.

Video Visit Overview

A Video Visit is a safe and convenient way to get access to a broad spectrum of primary and specialty services at UT Southwestern. Video Visits allow you to receive the same high-quality care from a health care provider as you would receive in person while saving time and the cost of travel.

Video Visits are scheduled appointments that are conducted through a live video and audio feed, using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Video Visits are accessed through your MyChart account and our videoconferencing platform. They can also be accessed through our patient care app. (See below.)

UTSWMyCare App

UT Southwestern’s patient care app – UTSWMyCare – helps you easily manage your health and stay connected to UTSW and your provider. Find a physician. Access your medical records. Schedule appointments, and much more.

You can also use it to video visit with your provider. Seamlessly check in for your video appointment, visit with your provider, and complete follow-up scheduling if needed – all in the app.

UTSWMyCare is simple to use, convenient, and always available. It’s medicine made easier.

Easy. Convenient. Safe.

Virtual care (telemedicine) visits allow you to meet with your UTSW provider from the comfort and safety of your own home, office, or wherever you might be.

All you need for a virtual care visit is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a video camera and microphone, along with a UT Southwestern MyChart account.

Talk with your UT Southwestern provider, care team, or appointment scheduler to see if a virtual care visit is appropriate for you.
