Renee Enriquez, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in comprehensive and interventional musculoskeletal care, which includes treating pathology affecting the spine, joints, muscles, and nerves. She also focuses on treating patients through physical activity and rehabilitation.
Dr. Enriquez earned her medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Hofstra Northwell Health School of Medicine and received advanced training in interventional pain management and musculoskeletal and spine medicine through a fellowship at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She also studied acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in China.
Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Pain Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor and attending physician at Hofstra Northwell Health School of Medicine.
At UT Southwestern, in addition to caring for patients, Dr. Enriquez is involved in resident and fellow education. She has contributed to the book Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Pocketpedia, delivered regional and national presentations, published several academic articles, and served as an ad hoc reviewer for accredited medical journals.
She was named to D Magazine's Best Doctors list for 2020 and 2021.
Dr. Enriquez is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, among other professional organizations.
