Biography

Dallas Armstrong, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in Rett syndrome and epilepsy, including genetic epilepsy and epileptic encephalopathy. She also has advanced training in pre-surgical intracranial monitoring, using stereoelectroencephalography (stereo-EEG) and other techniques to identify the source of seizures.

Dr. Armstrong earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed a residency in child neurology at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health and received advanced training in epilepsy through a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She spent an additional year as a Rett syndrome fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Marsh.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in epilepsy, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.

Dr. Armstrong is a member of the American Epilepsy Society and has published broadly on her specialty. As a first-year faculty member at UT Southwestern, she received the “Red Boots” Faculty Teaching Award from UTSW’s Child Neurology graduating residents.
