The study of human nutrition at UT Southwestern Medical Center is divided into three areas: the cause, prevention, and treatment of disease in humans.
UT Southwestern provides nutrition advice and therapy for the treatment and prevention of conditions such as:

Our program offers a comprehensive assessment of nutritional needs based on your diagnosis, laboratory test results, physical evaluation, and dietary history.
Our caring physicians and dietitians collaborate to help you make dietary changes, and we also carefully monitor your progress in order modify your dietary recommendations as needed. Prior to an initial consultation, you may be asked to keep detailed food records to help determine dietary inadequacies or excesses.
