Neuro-Ophthalmology

UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Neuro-Ophthalmology program provides comprehensive evaluation of diseases affecting vision that originate from the nervous system.

Our team includes four faculty physicians, each of whom has been trained in ophthalmology and neurology.

Our neuro-ophthalmologists evaluate conditions such as:

  • Ocular myasthenia gravis
  • Optic neuritis
  • Optic neuropathy
  • Papilledema
  • Unexplained visual loss

They work closely with UT Southwestern neurologists and neurosurgeons at one of the world’s premier neurological surgery centers with a state-of-the-art intensive care unit.
