Gastrointestinal Cancer

More than 250,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer each year. Gastrointestinal cancers account for approximately 20 percent of all newly diagnosed cancers.

UT Southwestern Medical Center’s nationally recognized GI cancer team is known for its extensive clinical, research, and academic expertise. We bring together the multidisciplinary expertise of surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists, radiologists, and gastroenterologists, as well as basic and translational scientists.

Patients are seen initially at Simmons Cancer Center’s Medical Oncology Clinic.
