You’re not alone in your fight against breast cancer. You’ll find some of the best breast cancer specialists in the world at UT Southwestern Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in North Texas.

Our experts subspecialize in breast cancer – meaning their whole clinical focus is on treating breast cancer, which translates into unsurpassed care for you.

Expertise and Convenience

Our multidisciplinary team includes leading breast imaging specialists: medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists; pathologists; reconstructive surgeons; and many other breast cancer-focused health care professionals, all taking care of you in one place.

You don’t have to drive from one location to another for treatment. Our specialists are located in the same building, making it less stressful for you, and providing our team with more opportunities to communicate and collaborate regarding your care.

Meet the Team

Our breast cancer specialists have earned international recognition for their role in advancing the field.

For example, medical oncologist Barbara Haley, M.D., has been recognized for her work assessing HER-2-positive breast cancer therapies. Her findings have led to ways to target the HER-2 protein and decrease the promotion of new cancer cells.

Research directed by surgical oncologist Marilyn Leitch, M.D., has led to less-invasive lymph node removal during surgery, which reduces side effects and hastens recovery from surgery.

Meet all of our breast cancer specialists.
