Neurocritical Care

UT Southwestern Medical Center has one of the nation’s premier neurological treatment centers at Zale Lipshy University Hospital. It offers diagnostic services and treatments for a wide range of neurological conditions.

For critically ill patients with brain injuries and neurological diseases, our Neurological Intensive Care Unit (neuro ICU) provides state-of-the-art monitoring technology and innovative treatments from physicians trained in both neurology and critical care.

Patients in the neuro ICU receive care from neurologists, neurosurgeons, specially trained neuro ICU nurses, neuroanesthesiologists, and rehabilitation specialists. Patients are continually and comprehensively observed so physicians may assess every facet of their condition and pursue all available avenues of treatment.
