Dr. Sharon Reimold is a highly experienced cardiologist who specializes in the interpretation of various imaging studies, with a strong emphasis on echocardiograms. She received her initial medical training and completed residency at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by advanced training in cardiovascular disease at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women’s Hospital. A UT Southwestern faculty member since 2000, Dr. Reimold today holds the Gail Griffiths Hill Chair in Cardiology and is a Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. She has been recognized as a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly and a Best Doctor by D Magazine and in 2012 received the Patricia and William L. Watson Jr., M.D., Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine, an honor recognizing a UT Southwestern clinician whose work exemplifies a commitment to outstanding patient care and advancement of innovative medical therapy. Away from the clinic, Dr. Reimold does extensive research into imaging and heart failure, as well as the use of magnetic resonance imaging in cardiac care.
