Michael Choti, M.D., M.B.A., is one of the world’s foremost authorities on gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreatic cancer, one of the most aggressive and difficult-to-treat diseases there is. After 21 years at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern Department of Surgery in 2013.

Dr. Choti has been the principal investigator or co-investigator for a variety of clinical and preclinical studies examining new approaches for the treatment of liver, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers, serves in various leadership positions in national and international societies, and has chaired study sections and task forces for the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute.
