Christine Hwang, M.D.

Christine Hwang, M.D., is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in adult and pediatric kidney and liver transplantation. After earning her medical degree at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, she completed a residency in general surgery at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and then received advanced training in transplant surgery through a fellowship at the Stanford University Medical Center. She joined the UT Southwestern faculty as an assistant professor in 2011.

Fluent in English and Korean, Dr. Hwang is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and the International Pediatric Transplant Association, among other professional organizations.
