UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources (THR), working together, have formed a regional health network—called Southwestern Health Resources— providing increased access to care, from the most basic to the most complex, for the people of North Texas.

The new, clinically integrated network includes UT Southwestern’s two University Hospitals—William P. Clements Jr. and Zale Lipshy—along with THR’s Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and 24 other THR community hospitals throughout North Texas.

“Southwestern Health Resources includes an integrated, coordinated network of nearly 3,000 physicians that can provide the communities of our region the full continuum of care in a responsive and coordinated manner,” says Daniel K. Podolsky, M.D., President of UT Southwestern.

The new network enables hospitals and physicians to coordinate care, using common health profiles so that each person receives quality services at the most appropriate location. In addition, the network increases access to clinical trials and medical specialists.
