CME course to highlight internal medicine solutions

“Update in Internal Medicine,” a CME course taking place on the UT Southwestern Medical Center campus April 11–13, is designed for primary care providers and specialists in internal medicine and family practice seeking the latest in practical knowledge relating to patient care.

Emphasizing topics requested by referring physicians, the program will highlight diagnostic and therapeutic solutions based on the most recent clinical science. The course’s goal is to provide state-of-the-art practical advice on issues identified as frequent items for consultation and second opinions, as well as new advances in applying molecular techniques in translational medicine.

Jonathan Weissler, M.D., Chief of Medicine for UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Internal Medicine, will serve as Course Director. Thirty-six other members of the UTSW faculty will participate in the event.

The three-day program offers up to 19.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. All activities will take place at UT Southwestern's T. Boone Pickens Biomedical Building Auditorium, located at 6001 Forest Park Road in Dallas.
