Patients & Visitors

St. Paul University Hospital offers patients and visitors a number of amenities, including convenient dining options, a gift shop, a chapel – even an on-campus Guest House.

Our Guest and Patient Service representatives can help arrange notary services, interpreters, wheelchairs, and other services.

Visiting Hours

St. Paul has flexible visiting hours to accommodate the needs of our patients and their guests. Friends and family may stay overnight in patient rooms (with the exception of the Intensive Care Unit). Cots are available.

We recommend that children under age 12 not visit the hospital.

Waiting Areas

St. Paul has lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor and in the hospital lobby.

Gift Shop

A gift shop in the lobby offers gift items, jewelry, magazines, greeting cards, candy, toiletries, stationery, and flowers.

St. Paul offers convenient dining options for inpatients, as well as outpatients and visitors.

Room Service Dining

At Your Request – Room Service Dining allows patients to order what they want, when they want it. It’s also available for visitors and family. 

St. Paul Cafeteria 

St. Paul Cafeteria is located on the first floor and is open seven days a week.

Monday – Friday

  • 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Weekends and holidays

  • 7 to 10 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • No dinner served

Express Break

Express salads, sandwiches, pizza, and light pick-up food.

  • Monday – Friday, 2 to 4 p.m.

In-Hospital Lodging

Located on the south wing's second level, our 19-room Guest House provides a friendly and supportive atmosphere for patients, their adult family members, and visitors (16 years and older) who have a special need to be near University Hospital services for an extended time.

The Guest House provides single, double, and suite occupancy.
