Our cardiovascular program is now available in a convenient, centrally located community setting at the UT Southwestern Medical Center at Richardson/Plano. UT Southwestern is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading heart disease treatment centers. Our cardiologists and surgeons are highly trained and are experienced in diagnosing and treating both common and uncommon heart conditions.
The Richardson/Plano Cardiology Clinic provides personalized care for each patient’s specific condition, while taking full advantage of the clinical expertise and advanced resources needed to improve, cure, and prevent all forms of cardiovascular disease.
Introducing Dr. Kamakki Banks
Kamakki Banks, M.D., General Cardiology specialist, is now scheduling new patients at UT Southwestern’s Medical Center at Richardson/Plano – Cardiology Clinic.
While Dr. Banks sees patients with a wide range of heart-related symptoms, she is particularly interested in the treatment of heart disease in patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Her other clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of heart valve disorders and helping patients and their families overcome their unique barriers to cardiovascular health.
With a background in public health research, Dr. Banks combines her understanding of family and community dynamics with her diverse clinical experience to help patients prevent cardiovascular disease or minimize its effects.
The Cardiology Clinic at Richardson/Plano offers appointments for the evaluation and treatment of patients with suspected heart disease.

UT Southwestern general cardiology physicians have broad expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, including angina, arrhythmias, valve diseases, coronary artery disease, heart failure, high blood pressure, and cholesterol-related diseases. When needed, referrals are made to UT Southwestern cardiology subspecialists for further evaluation.
