A hospital is meant to be a place of healing. That’s why we designed William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital to be a calming, peaceful environment.

The building’s unique architecture and design help minimize noise, increase privacy, and enhance security. This allows patients and their loved ones to focus on what matters most: healing.

Quiet and Calm

Our hospital has several key features that help promote a quiet, peaceful environment:

  • Public areas and lobbies are located away from patient rooms.
  • Supplies and meals are delivered using employee-only elevators and hallways. By removing deliveries from public areas and hallways, this reduces the noisy, rushed feeling of most hospitals.
  • Innovatively designed in a series of Vs, the shortened hallways of the building reduce visitor traffic.

Private

Separating patient rooms from public areas helps enhance privacy and security. Each of our 751 single-patient rooms is quiet and comfortable. Since patients do not have to share rooms, they are able to relax and rest and welcome visitors at any time.

Restorative

Throughout Clements University Hospital, expansive windows and walls of glass provide abundant natural light. In addition, our Patient Garden allows patients to step outside and enjoy a little fresh air to help them through their healing process.

We believe this ongoing interaction with nature helps promote healing in patients and makes visitors feel more comfortable.

High-quality artwork throughout the hospital also contributes to a restorative atmosphere for both patients and visitors alike.
