Building the Future of Medicine
A Message from the UT Southwestern President
On December 6, 2014, UT Southwestern’s new William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital opened its doors, transforming the opportunities for medical care in North Texas. Clements University Hospital has been designed to enhance the experience of our patients and their families and to support our physicians and other caregivers in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to all who come to us for help.
The hospital also has been designed to advance our other core missions of discovery and education that have been UT Southwestern’s hallmarks during our seven-decade history in Dallas and which themselves suggest the quality of care we can provide to those in need.
This facility is more than just a new hospital. Designed with the involvement and input of hundreds of health care professionals, patients, and community friends of UT Southwestern, Clements University Hospital is a place where UT Southwestern’s missions of compassionate care, research, and education come together to serve our patients and advance human health.
These values drove every decision in the design process, and as a result, the William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital will make UT Southwestern a leader in delivering the future of medicine, today.
