About UT Southwestern Clinically Affiliated Physicians (UTSCAP)

The Outpatient building is our newest patient-centric building on the UT Southwestern campus.

UT Southwestern’s Clinically Affiliated Physicians (UTSCAP) network is a physician-directed, clinically integrated organization that provides community primary care physicians with shared access to the population-management infrastructure that is necessary to facilitate the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care.

The UTSCAP network clinically integrates – rather than employs – community primary care physicians with our faculty practice.

This clinical affiliation enhances the patient experience and helps improve the health of the community. It offers member physicians a UT Southwestern faculty appointment, access to comparative clinical data, an electronic medical record, and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) consultants, as well as access to faculty CME, and UT Southwestern library and practice-management resources.
