Transplant Program

Transplant in 2023

In 2023, for the fourth consecutive year, UT Southwestern performed more transplants than any other North Texas program. It is our privilege to be part of the journey for our patients, helping to restore hope and forever touching the lives of those impacted by the gift of organ donation.

The Gift of a Second Chance

Transplant surgery can be truly life-changing, providing critically ill individuals with a second chance at life.

As an academic medical center, UT Southwestern has highly trained specialists who work together to treat even the most complicated cases and provide optimal outcomes. The transplantation teams follow patients from initial evaluation through the life of the organ, and we have a detailed protocol to communicate progress and results to referring physicians.
