UT Southwestern Medical Center's pediatric-adolescent gynecologists are specially trained to understand the unique gynecologic needs of girls age newborn to 18. With a keen understanding of the development and anatomy of pediatric and adolescent girls, our physicians take great strides to examine and treat girls in a manner that is sensitive to their special needs.
All care is provided through a joint effort with Children's Medical Center in Dallas and at Legacy in Plano.
We can diagnose and manage congenital reproductive anomalies, disorders of sex development, gynecologic malignancies, gynecologic disorders in medically complicated children, and reproductive problems.

Whatever patients (whether adult or teen) tell their health care provider is, by law, confidential unless the doctor believes that patients are a danger to themselves or others or that they can’t make decisions on their own.
However, it is helpful and important that teens and parents have an open line of communication so that any health concerns or other worries can be discussed freely between them. Adolescents need to know that their parents will be there to protect and support them.
