At UT Southwestern Medical Center, sleep and breathing treatments begin with a personal focus.
Our Sleep Disorders Program offers the full spectrum of diagnostic techniques and effective treatment modalities for patients with primary sleep disorders. Our multidisciplinary medical team includes board-certified clinicians in sleep medicine, pulmonology, and neurology. Our clinicians also collaborate with colleagues in head and neck surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and psychiatry. Our team includes certified sleep technologists and licensed respiratory therapists with years of clinical experience.
Patients with certain neurologic and musculoskeletal diseases have muscle weakness that affects their mobility, quality of life, and overall health. Among the most serious consequences are breathing complications that lead to difficulty breathing and even respiratory failure.
The Breathing Disorders Program in the Clinical Center for Sleep and Breathing Disorders Center focuses on the comprehensive assessment and management of respiratory insufficiency secondary to neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
