Stroke Rehabilitation

Regardless of mild or severe symptoms, all individuals who have experienced a stroke can benefit from rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Our staff provides compassionate, individualized rehabilitation therapies that can help ease the symptoms brought about by a stroke, a condition which stops the flow of blood to an area of the brain due a blood clot or broken blood vessel.

Our Stroke Rehabilitation Program enables patients to participate in activities at work, home, and in the community. Our vocational therapists are available to help you with employment-related adjustments, including providing assistance needed to adapt to aspects of a job environment.

Stroke patients and their family members play a major role in helping to achieve all of the benefits that rehabilitation has to offer. At UT Southwestern, our rehabilitation specialists thoroughly discuss with our patients and their families all of the strategies that can be used to experience a greater sense of control over their conditions resulting from a stroke.
