The neurological rehabilitation specialists at UT Southwestern Medical Center have the expertise needed to treat individuals with neurological disorders that accompany brain injuries, epilepsy, Guillain-Barre syndrome, multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries, and stroke.
Our specialists utilize the collective experience of a team of experts to determine the right course of action for your specific neurological rehabilitation program. In addition to physicians who specialize in neurological conditions, the rehabilitation team includes nurses, psychologists and neuropsychologists, and occupational, physical, recreational, and speech therapists.
After a comprehensive evaluation, our physicians and rehabilitation specialists will design a rehabilitation program based on your unique condition and medical history.
Family members will be included in the rehabilitaton process to the greatest extent possible, providing the education they may need to help you achieve improved levels of behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and physical functioning.
A wide variety of services including psychological counseling, support groups, and educational programs are also available for both patients and family members.
