Physicians at UT Southwestern Medical Center have the experience and expertise to treat a range of brain and spine injuries. Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians who are specialists in brain and spinal cord injuries, nurses, neuropsychologists, psychologists, and social workers.
Our Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program is located in Zale Lipshy University Hospital, where a dedicated and highly trained team cares for our patients. Physicians and rehabilitation therapists treat brain injuries caused by external factors such as automobile accidents (traumatic brain injury) or neurological events like aneurysms, infections, or strokes (acquired brain injury).
The program’s mission is to help patients with traumatic brain injuries achieve the highest level of physical, functional, and cognitive independence, and to be able to adjust to their social environment.
