People fighting cancer or blood and marrow diseases who have placed their trust in us receive individualized personal attention and are closely followed throughout their diagnosis and treatment.
Hematologic diseases are highly complex, and our physicians are experienced in determining a very specialized diagnosis of each patient’s cancer subtype, and in performing the most complicated forms of transplantation.
Our program offers:
- For adults, an 18-bed inpatient unit at St. Paul University Hospital and a dedicated outpatient clinic at the Seay Biomedical Building.
- For children up to age 18, a five-bed inpatient unit and a dedicated outpatient clinic at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
- State-of-the-art treatment approaches, including chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplantation, immunotherapy, radioimmunotherapy, and experimental therapy.
- Comprehensive, integrated care, so that patients can see all of the cancer specialists involved in their care in one visit.
Simmons Cancer Center also offers a clinical trials program that gives patients access to treatments unavailable at other medical centers, and often years before the therapies are available to the public.
If you have questions, be sure to talk with your physician or another member of your clinical care team.
